Salvaje: (noun) English translation: Wild, Savage
The name was influenced by Al Vigil’s mom who nicknamed Al’s first grandson, Lennox Wylder, Salvaje a.k.a. “Savage”
Our inaugural vintage was a testament to the love put into the land by Sabina and Tarcicio. The farm was previously home to a variety of berry bushes grown as part of the Sebastopol Berry Farm and ultimately replanted with grapes. This wine is a rugged medley of the two Pinot Noir clones now planted on the property - Clone 97 & Clone 91.
